The Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League last season after a nightmare campaign.
Ronaldo is determined to spend his final years as a footballer playing in Europe’s premier cup competition and wants a move.
However, Ronaldo is not attracting interest from the world’s top clubs.
ESPN reported earlier this week that Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea were all offered the chance to sign the football legend but refused.
Now 37 years old, Ronaldo is not the player he once was.
But he’s still one of the most lethal goal scorers in the world: and that is shown by a post from Transfermarkt.
Transfermarkt have named the 10 players with the most league goals scored in Europe’s top five leagues this decade and Ronaldo is second only to Robert Lewandowski. View the top 10 below…
10. Lionel Messi – 48 goals in 81 games
9. Andre Silva – 48 goals in 80 games
8. Wissam Ben Yedder – 50 goals in 84 games
7. Mohamed Salah – 55 goals in 90 games
6. Karim Benzema – 59 goals in 86 games
5. Kylian Mbappe – 62 goals in 74 games
4. Erling Haaland – 62 goals in 67 games
3. Ciro Immobile – 66 goals in 87 games
2. Cristiano Ronaldo – 68 goals in 83 games
1. Robert Lewandowski – 91 goals in 77 games
Ronaldo’s tally of 68 league goals in 83 games since 2000 is remarkable.
Only Lewandowski has scored more league goals than Ronaldo since the start of 2020. His tally of 91 goals in 77 games is just ridiculous. He will be looking to keep up that extraordinary goal-per-game ratio at Barcelona next season.
Since 2020, Ronaldo has scored six more league goals than Haaland and Mbappe, nine more than Benzema and 20 more than eternal rival Messi.
He may be 37 but it’s madness that clubs aren’t queueing up to sign him – especially those that have a glaring need at the striker position.
