Cristiano Ronaldo has enjoyed a glittering Champions League career.
Whilst the Real Madrid icon and his eternal rival Lionel Messi have long battled it out for the title of the world’s best player, one place Ronaldo has always had the edge is in the Champions League.
Ronaldo has lifted Europe’s premier trophy on a record five occasions, once with Manchester United and four times with his beloved Madrid.
He's also the highest scorer in the competition's history thanks to his monumental tally of 141 strikes.
All things considered, Ronaldo is the king of the Champions League and a graphic shared by PopFoot details that perfectly.
The graphic, shared to their Twitter account, outlines the 10 greatest individual seasons in Champions League history, based upon total goal contributions by a single player.
The top 10 is full of legends with both Messi and Ronaldo featuring. However, Ronaldo features an incredible four times on the list.

It's testament to Ronaldo's dominance in the competition that he appears four times in the ranking.
His best tally came in 2013/14 when he produced a staggering 21 goal contributions in 11 appearances.
Lewandowski is the only other player to feature more than once on the list, with his 2019/20 record being good enough for second place despite having appeared on just 10 occasions.
Whilst Messi's 2011/12 season is the only time his return has been big enough to make the cut.
