Chelsea FC, since Todd Boehly took over last year, have arguably had two of the craziest transfer windows in history.

The English side have spent just shy of £550 million since the summer of last year, bringing the likes of Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk and most recently Enzo Fernandez to the club.

However, no matter how good all of the new signings end up being for Chelsea, their window will struggle to top Real Madrid's from 2009.

Who have Chelsea signed since the end of the 2021-22 season?

As noted, Chelsea have signed an awful lot of players since the end of last season, so you'd be forgiven for struggling to name all of them.

In case you have, below is a complete list of all of Chelsea's signings since Todd Boehly took over, spanning both the summer transfer window last year and the winter window just gone.

  • Enzo Fernandez - Benfica - £108m
  • Wesley Fofana - Leicester City - £72m
  • Mykhailo Mudryk - Shakhtar Donetsk £62.5m
  • Marc Cucurella - Brighton - £58m
  • Raheem Sterling - Man City - £50m
  • Kalidou Koulibaly - Napoli - £34m
  • Benoit Badiashile - Monaco - £34m
  • Noni Madueke - PSV - £31m
  • Malo Gusto - Lyon - £27m
  • Carney Chukwuemeka - Aston Villa - £16m
  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Barcelona - £11m
  • Andrey Santos - Vasco de Gama - £11m
  • David Datro Fofana - Molde - £11m
  • Joao Felix - Atletico Madrid - Loan (£10m fee)
  • Gabriel Slonina - Chicago Fire - £8m
  • Denis Zakaria - Juventus - Loan

Chelsea have spent £550m in just eight months on 16 players, but no matter how crazy their dealings have been, Boehly's new men will have to do incredibly well to top the business Real Madrid did in 2009.

Who did Real Madrid buy in the summer transfer window of 2009?

Real Madrid went on a bit of a mad spending spree in 2009, bringing some of the best players to ever play that game to the club.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo - Man United - £80m
  • Kaka - AC Milan - £56m
  • Karim Benzema - Lyon - £29m
  • Xabi Alonso - Liverpool - £29m
  • Raul Albiol - Valencia - £12m
  • Ezequiel Garay - Racing Santander - £8m
  • Alvaro Negredo - Almeria - £4m
  • Alvaro Arbeloa - Liverpool - £4m
  • Esteban Granero - Getafe - £3m

Real Madrid bought nine players during that summer window, with their combined fees costing a far more modest £225m.

Despire that, Real brought in some of the world's best players, with Ronaldo, Kaka and Benzema being former Ballon D'or winners, and Alonso being dubbed one of the best players of his generation.

Who knows how Chelsea's new signings are going to do, but to top Real's incredible business from 2009, they'll all have to be incredibly special.
