Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly continuing his efforts to bring Marcelo to Juventus next season.

The pair became great friends at Real Madrid during their nine years together and continue to meet regularly for social events.

According to AS, Ronaldo made it his ‘obsession’ to convince the Bianconeri board of his quality in hope of re-uniting with Marcelo.

The Brazilian signed a new five-year deal in 2017 and claimed Madrid was his “second home”, but the departure of Zinedine Zidane has complicated his situation.

Despite being available, Santiago Solari has preferred to start academy product Reguilón at left-back, criticising Marcelo for his ‘defensive lapses’ and lack of fitness.

Juventus are well stocked with Alex Sandro and Mattia de Sciglio, but should an offer arrive, AS believe serious considerations will be made.
