Cristiano Ronaldo is absolutely incredible in the air.
The Portuguese forward isn’t the tallest of strikers. He ‘only’ stands at 6 foot 1 inches.
But, despite being dwarfed by some defenders, his prowess in the air is remarkable.
Ronaldo’s spring and desire to score has led to countless headed goals.
In total, he has scored 701 goals at club level in the 21st century, with 112 coming via his head.
But how does his tally compare to some of the best players in the air this millennium?

Ronaldo’s tally really is ridiculous.
He’s scored nearly 30 more headed goals in club football than any other player in the air this century.
Ronaldo is still not done yet, either. He has just signed a two-year contract with Al-Nassr and will no doubt add to his tally during his time in Saudi Arabia.
It wouldn’t be a stretch to call him the greatest header of the ball in history.
De Jong takes second with 84, while Lewandowski is a headed goal further back in third.
Benzema creeps into the top 10 having scored 59 headers in his career.
Ramos is the only defender on the list. His 52 headed goals puts him 17th.
While Ibrahimovic (58), Kane (53) and Lukaku (51) also make the top 20.
