Ronaldinho tips Milan for ‘great things’ and heaps praise on Rafael Leao | OneFootball

Ronaldinho has praised Rafael Leao, and also insisted that AC Milan have a strong enough squad to rebound from a difficult season.

Leao is one of those players who seems destined to eternally divide opinion. His inconsistent performances mean that he is yet to become the 20-goal-per-season man that fans hoped for, but he remains the best player in the side on his day.

This season has been a particularly turbulent one both for Leao and for the team. The winger found himself left out of the starting line-up by both Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceicao on multiple occasions, only to prove himself off the bench and get back in.

Ronaldinho assured that he is a fan of the former Lille man as he spoke to Sky Italia during a presentation for a new wine product, and he also passed comment on Milan.

“There are great players at Milan and it is a good team, so I think they can do great things next season. Leao does not need my advice, he is a great player. He is one of the players I most enjoy watching,” he said (via Football Italia).

Leao has amassed 10 goals and nine assists in 43 competitive games so far this season, while Ronaldinho managed 26 goals and 29 assists in 95 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri.
