Ronaldinho: Epic highlights emerge vs Team Roberto Carlos
GiveMeSport
Ronaldinho dusted off his boots for an exhibition match in Miami on Saturday night.
The Brazilian legend and former teammate Roberto Carlos hosted a match called: ‘The Beautiful Game by R10 & RC3’.
Many legends of the game featured, including Cafu, Rivaldo, David Trezeguet, Patrick Kluivert and Rene Higuita.
While some of the world’s best players in the present day took part, including Paulo Dybala, Paul Pogba, Vinicius Jr and Alphonso Davies.
The game finished in an entertaining 12-10 victory for Team Carlos.
Despite being on the losing side, Ronaldinho proved he’s still got it during the match.
The Barcelona legend, now 42, opened the scoring with a composed finish.
But his best moment – and perhaps the classiest moment of the match – came in the 57th minute.
Ronaldinho picked up the ball some 35 yards out from goal.
He spotted the run of Dybala and picked him out with a delicious no-look pass over the opposition’s defence.
Unfortunately, Dybala couldn’t do the pass justice as he fluffed his lines while under no pressure inside the box.
You can watch the pass, as well as his highlights from the match, in the below video (pass at 3:43).
Isn’t it great to see Ronaldinho back on the pitch and producing moments of magic?
You can’t help but smile when watching Ronaldinho play the beautiful game. He still makes it look so easy.
The Brazilian, considered one of the greatest footballers in the history of the sport, hung up his boots seven years ago.
But he clearly still possesses the talent that saw him establish himself as a football legend.
