Barcelona continued their strong pre-season with a convincing 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart on Saturday leaving manager Ronald Koeman very pleased.
New signing Memphis Depay opened the scoring with a stunning solo goal before Antoine Griezmann teed up goals for Yusuf Demir and Riqui Puig.
“I’m really very happy about the performance,” said Koeman to club media after the match.
“I think we did well against a team who did more work in pre-season because they started sooner than we started.”
“We played well, we had good ball position and we scored two great goals in the first half. In the second, we controlled the game and we had even more chances to score more goals.”
“Overall, I think it [was] the standard that we like to show.
Barcelona will play their next pre-season match against RB Salzburg on 4 August.
