According to Sport, Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman will serve a two-game ban that could be extended, after the Dutch coach received his marching orders in the club’s 0-0 draw with Cádiz on Thursday.

Koeman will miss the league games against Levante and Atlético Madrid but not his side’s Champions League fixture against Benfica in midweek.

The Barcelona boss was sent off in the final stages of the encounter for protesting about what happened when Sergio Busquets kicked an extra ball that was on the pitch towards Cádiz player Salvi and ended up receiving a yellow card.

“Hey, the referee has to blow, the referee has to blow, dammit, he has to blow!” Koeman shouted, according to the refereeing report.

In his post-match press conference Koeman said: “In this country, they send you off for nothing.”
