Barcelona are set to be without Ronald Araújo for up to three weeks.
Araújo aggravated his left thigh during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid which gave the current LaLiga leaders a 12-point cushion over their arch-rivals.
According to AS, the defender is not expected to report for duty with Uruguay ahead of their friendlies with Japan and South Korea during the international break as a result.
He is also set to miss Barça’s trip to Elche on 1 April but could be back in contention for the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final with Madrid just four days later.
Xavi Hernández’s side lead Los Blancos by a solitary goal as they home in on a potential domestic double this season.
