Romero Gets 8.5, Porro With 8 | Tottenham Hotspur Players Rated In Hard-Fought Win Vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Tottenham Hotspur clashed heads with Eintracht Frankfurt at the Deutsche Bank Park earlier tonight as they focused on earning a win in the UEFA Europa League. Spurs made a solid start to the game and managed to get their noses ahead in the 43rd minute thanks to Dominic Solanke’s penalty. Ange Postecoglu’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
The North London giants defended their slender advantage well and earned a hard-fought 1-0 win on the road. Tottenham ended up securing qualification after winning the tie 2-1 on aggregate.

Vicario made a few solid saves during the game and did well to secure a clean sheet tonight.
RB: Pedro Porro – 8/10
He performed his defensive duties well and made some inviting chances for his teammates from the right flank.

Romero put his foot through the ball when required and was good on the ball.
CB: Micky Van de Ven – 7.5/10
He was a rock at the back and passed the ball accurately from inside his half.

LB: Destiny Udogie – 7.5/10
He didn’t do much wrong defensively and made some decent runs on the left flank.
CM: Lucas Bergvall – 7/10
Bergvall offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and was a good dribbler with the ball.
CM: Rodrigo Bentancur – 7/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction but offered very little in the final third.
CM: James Maddison – 7/10
Maddison made one good chance up top and was replaced in the 45th minute.
RW: Brennan Johnson – 6.5/10
He engineered a few inviting chances on the offensive end of the field but there was no goal for him.
ST: Dominic Solanke – 7.5/10
Solanke scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute.
LW: Mathys Tel – 6.5/10
He proved his worth at times on the left wing but failed to register a goal.
