Romelu Lukaku is prepared to put his foot down and personally force Manchester United to let him join Inter, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Inter have won over the striker with a ‘convincing’ charm offensive, with head coach Antonio Conte calling the Belgian earlier this week to reiterate his desire to coach him.
Lukaku will join Inter as soon as the club can find a buyer for their former captain Mauro Icardi, although other reports have suggested that could prove very difficult.
United have identified Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a replacement for the 26-year-old, who scored 12 goals in the Premier League last season.
Lukaku has made 81 appearances for the Belgian national team since debuting in March 2010, scoring 48 goals.
Icardi is currently on holiday in Japan with wife and agent Wanda Nara and it remains to be seen whether Inter can convince him to leave and make way for Lukaku.
