Romelu Lukaku is set to have a full pre-season at Inter for the first time ever after completing his move from Chelsea, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Romelu Lukaku will have the extra few days of rest granted to those who played in June’s international matches and then he will be at Simone Inzaghi’s disposal at Appiano Gentile.

That was not the case when he joined the club in 2019 from Manchester United because he signed in August.

For his second season at the club, it was the truncated Covid-19 season which had a reduced holiday period and an unusual schedule for everyone.

He will be aiming to arrive at the first match in the best condition possible having spent much longer with his teammates, some that he already knows and others that he will need to form relationships with.
