Romelu Lukaku is said to be pushing to stay in the Italian capital beyond this season.

The Belgian striker has made it clear to his entourage, reports today’s edition of Leggo: he wants to remain at Roma.

Big Rom feels good in Rome, he has bonded with all his teammates and with Daniele De Rossi, who was recently confirmed as the team’s long-term head coach.

De Rossi would be happy to have Lukaku at his disposal again next year, and the Friedkins will try to please him.

Meanwhile, there are signs from Chelsea that they are open to a discount or loan renewal. The latter option would be the best solution to compensate for a monstrous expense (the player’s current pricetag is €40 million) that Roma will be unlikely to be able to pay into the Blues’ coffers, as well as other clubs that may be interested in him.

Without Lukaku, Roma struggled a lot against Bologna, but also in the previous matches in which the Belgian was missing: for the Giallorossi 3 defeats in 3 matches played without him. An important signal that pushes the capital club to seriously reflect on the possibility of giving up Lukaku.
