Romelu Lukaku To Start For Inter Milan In Serie A Clash Vs Sampdoria, Italian Broadcaster Reports | OneFootball

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is set to start for the Nerazzurri in next Monday’s Serie A match away to Sampdoria.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908, who report that the club’s priority with the Belgian is to start getting more playing time in his legs now that he is fit and available.

Lukaku’s lengthy time on the sidelines with injuries this season has meant that, even though he is now fully recovered and able to play, he is lacking a lot of match-fitness.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi was happy with what he saw from the 29-year-old in his substitute appearance against AC Milan over the weekend, whilst a start against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia was also cause for optimism.

However, the Belgian still has some way to go, and the only way for him to get closer to his best form will be to start playing regularly.

Accordingly, Sky reports, it is very likely that the Belgian will play from the start against Sampdoria on Monday.
