Roma’s memorable Europa League triumph in the return leg of the competition’s quarterfinals with Milan was ultimately stained by the sole absence of Romelu Lukaku who was forced to come off in the first half.
In fact, the Belgian attacker was replaced by Tammy Abraham around the 28th minute of the first half at the Stadio Olimpico.
According to Il Tempo, Lukaku suffered an apparent muscle injury but the extent of it is still unknown.
De Rossi and his staff took off the pitch preemptively, but slight damage could already have been inflicted on the 30-year-old.
The newspaper states that Lukaku thus remains questionable for the upcoming Serie A fixture with Bologna.
On the other hand, the latest good news from Trigoria is that Sardar Azmoun is back in training and should be available to play in a few days.
