Romelu Lukaku will have to wait before making his Inter debut as the striker is not ready to feature against Valencia tomorrow, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Belgian international enjoyed a frenetic day yesterday as he completed the final formalities of his move to the Nerazzurri.
Lukaku headed straight to Appiano Gentile for his first training session after signing his new deal, where he met Antonio Conte and was introduced to the rest of the dressing room.
He completed the first part of the training with the first team before doing personalised work in the second half.
Lukaku needs to improve his fitness levels after sitting out all of Manchester United’s preseason friendlies, as he awaited his move to Italy.
The 26-year-old was the last player to leave Appiano Gentile on Thursday because he intends to leave no stone unturned in his preparation.
Inter will play their final game of preseason against Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium, before they make their Serie A debut against Lecce on 26 August.
Reports earlier this week suggested Conte might look to organise another match for next weekend, with the specific purpose of helping Lukaku get up to speed, but this has not been confirmed since.
