Romelu Lukaku is more likely to return from injury for the match against Salernitana rather than the Barcelona game, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the Belgian striker is still doing all that he can to get back to fitness as soon as possible after suffering a thigh injury.

There were hopes that he would be back for the game against AS Roma last weekend but it soon emerged that he would not make that game or the Barcelona match.

Now it is seen as an incredibly slim chance that he will make the Sassuolo game on Saturday afternoon and by extension, the Barcelona match at Camp Nou.

That then means that his sights are set on the clash with Salernitana in Serie A which is on October 16.

The Belgian forward is seen as a huge part of any potential success for Inter this season.
