Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen were Inter’s best players during last night’s 1-1 draw at Napoli, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Inter saw their lead at the top of Serie A reduced to nine points but extended their unbeaten run with a point at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Samir Handanovic scored an own goal to open the scoring for Napoli before Eriksen equalised with a drilled effort from outside the box in the second half.

Lukaku and Eriksen both received ratings of 7/10 for their performances in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lukaku rose to the challenge of playing against Kalidou Koulibaly, the Milan-based paper reported, producing a display that was ‘exhilarating to watch’ and confirming his reputation as Inter’s team leader.

He hit the woodwork twice, played in Matteo Darmian for another chance and was said to be the Nerazzurri’s most effective player while they were trailing.

Eriksen, meanwhile, was said to have deserved his goal after an all-round encouraging performance which included some effective crosses for Lukaku and Stefan de Vrij.

Achraf Hakimi and Nicolo Barella got 6.5/10 while De Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni, Marcelo Brozovic, Matteo Darmian, Lautaro Martinez, Ivan Perisic and Alexis Sanchez all received 6/10.

Handanovic and Milan Skriniar were Inter’s lowest rated performers with 5/10.
