Romelu Lukaku already feels at home at Inter after scoring on his full debut at San Siro, as Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning.

The Belgian followed up a spilled shot from Lautaro Martinez to help Antonio Conte’s side on their way to a 4-0 win against Lecce on Monday.

Lukaku needed only one match at the Meazza to enter the hearts of Inter supporters, and he did so in his own way, with elegance and kindness.

“His bow in front of the Curva Nord wasn’t prepared, it came to him spontaneously,” GdS reported.

“It was his way of saying thank you to everyone at Inter for all the love he’s felt during these first few weeks, while he has been working hard to catch up with the rest of the group and arrive at the start of the season in a good physical condition.”

GdS also paid particular attention to the warm embrace between Lukaku and Sebastiano Esposito after the Belgian’s goal, with the pair having played together during a series of behind-closed-door tests at Appiano Gentile this summer.

“Lukaku knows how to get everyone to like him because he needs to feel important to other people like his family is for him,” the paper continued.

“It was a complete celebration for him on Monday night, because his entire life was watching from a private sky box in the stands at San Siro.”

Lukaku’s mother Adolphine, brother Jordan and eight-month-old child Romeo were all in attendance at the Meazza, along with his close friend Tay and agent Federico Pastorello.
