There is some concern regarding the condition of Evan N’Dicka as the Roma defender was stretchered off with a suspected heart attack during their game with Udinese.

As Football Italia report, the game between Udinese and Roma officially been abandoned after N’Dicka was stretchered off. The defender sat himself down on the ground after raising his hand to his chest in the moments prior.

The medical staff immediately came on and the former Eintracht Frankfurt man was taken off on a stretcher, though he did manage to give a thumbs up while on his way from the field.

The referee Luca Pairetto made it clear that he would respect the wishes of the players and coaching staff regarding whether or not the game could continue.

Roma head coach Daniele De Rossi was speaking to his squad on the touchline and he then communicated to the referee that the players could not continue.

It hasn’t been confirmed yet when the remainder of Udinese-Roma will be played, but when it does it will be resumed from the same scoreline and from the minute where play stopped. At the time of Ndicka’s departure, there were 18 minutes left and the score was 1-1.

We at SempreMilan wish N’Dicka a rapid recovery. Milan of course play Roma in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie on Thursday.
