Fabrizio Romano: Antonio Conte unlikely to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Juventus

Speaking on his YouTube channel, popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Antonio Conte is not close to leaving Tottenham Hotspur and the links to the Juventus job are rather premature.

It has emerged in recent days that the Italian tactician is closing in on a move to Juventus with the Old Lady keen on bringing back the manager who coached them previously for three seasons to Turin.

Conte has been doing a great job as a Spurs manager ever since he took over from Nuno Espirito Santos midway through last season. The Lilywhites have had a great start to the season and will want to continue on the same note.

Spurs have made a number of signings this summer and have built a very competitive squad. They now have the quality and the depth required to compete for trophies on all fronts and will want to break the curse.

With a serial winner like Antonio Conte at the helm, there is an expectation that the Lilywhites will win trophies this season. Spurs fans will be hoping that the tactician stays in North London.

Romano claims that Juventus are not considering sacking Massimiliano Allegri as of now and want to give the manager a longer rope. However, if the Italian giants choose to sack him, then Conte could be an option.

Conte has been having a great time at Spurs and will not want to abandon the project that he has been building for so long. However, a return to his home country might prove to be an exciting objective for the Italian.
