Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham are now “considering” making a move for Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly, with a deal “not easy” to complete.

Kelly joined the Cherries from Bristol City for a fee in the region of £12million in 2019.

He has played 119 times for the south coast club and has seen his performances go under the radar.

The 24-year-old is out of contract next year, which could make him a pretty appealing signing as the 2023 summer transfer window gets closer to its conclusion. Kelly can also operate as a left-back and central defender.

And according to Romano, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has added Kelly to his list of transfer targets.

The Italian transfer expert says Spurs are ‘considering a possible move’ for the former England Under-21 international.

The Londoners have not made an official bid yet as their pursuit of the player ‘depends’ on outgoing transfers.

Furthermore, Bournemouth would need to replace Kelly, which is obviously not going to be easy with the transfer deadline fast approaching.

It is added that Spurs could offer Eric Dier in exchange for the 24-year-old.

Dier appears to be unwanted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He has not been included in any of Postecoglou’s four matchday squads this season, including their Carabao Cup clash at Fulham on Tuesday.

Surprisingly, Dier has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, where he would be reunited with Harry Kane.

There are several players Spurs are still looking to offload and they have around 24 hours left to do so.

, which helps Spurs get his wages off their books, though they will likely be back in the same position next summer.
