When Pepe Reina was loaned out to Aston Villa in January, Milan brought in Asmir Begovic on loan. However, the Bosnian has now returned to England and Reina has left. Fortunately, the Rossoneri have secured a new backup.

According to Fabrizio Romano, confirming the reports of Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have secured Lyon goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu. He will be the new backup goalkeeper in the squad, once again demoting Antonio Donnarumma to the third choice.

The Rossoneri will also start talks with Mino Raiola soon, as the reporter continues, keen on renewing the contract of Gigio Donnarumma. The current deal will expire in 2021 and Milan certainly don’t want to lose him for free next summer.

Chelsea have previously been linked with the Italian but no offers have arrived from the Stamford Bridge side, per the report. Instead, they are focused on signing Edouard Mendy from Rennes and won’t move for Donnarumma.
