The price tag of Jonathan David continues to rise along with his goal tally for Lille amid rumours that he is a summer target for AC Milan.

According to what is being reported by Fabrizio Romano, as things stand at the moment the asking price to sign Jonathan David this summer will be around €65m. He added that Lille ‘expect top clubs to move’ for the Canadian striker.

David scored again today in Lille’s 2-1 victory against Montpellier which takes him up to 20 Ligue 1 goals during the 2022-23 season so far, meaning he is the joint-top scorer in the league together with Kylian Mbappé.

Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it) reported late last month that David is at the top of the list of targets compiled by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara in view of the summer. A younger striker is needed given Olivier Giroud will turn 37 this year, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could retire and Divock Origi has disappointed.
