Fabrizio Romano’s latest video has some interesting updates about Mauricio Pochettino’s future.

After a big defeat to Manchester United last night, there is an increasing clamour about whether his job could be under threat.

“Directors, owners, they all trust and support Mauricio Pochettino” he said in today’s update.

He went on to point out that all those involved are waiting for the return of Christopher Nkunku. So are we, but it’s crazy that everyone has convinced themselves that the France star – who has yet to play a competitive minute for us, let’s remember, is going to solve everything.

Is he going to help Robert Sanchez playing out from the back? Is he going to organise our attacking and defending at set pieces? Is he going to plug the gaping holes in midfield?

Still, we’re glad the owners are keeping faith in the coach, on the other hand, what’s the alternative? They’ve pulled the plug on two permanent managers already, and can’t afford a third in two seasons.
