Erling Haaland has quickly become one of the biggest names in all of world football and will have to keep getting better in order to reach the legendary status of Robert Lewandowski.

However, Borussia Dortmund team-mate Roman Bürki believes the 20-year-old is well on his way and ‘will quickly’ become one of the top strikers in the world.

“Lewandowski is outstanding, Erling is not that good yet. Lewandowski has maintained this impressive level for years, but if Erling continues like this, he will quickly be at this level,” Burki told Kicker.

“Physique, speed, technique – he has all the necessary prerequisites.”

Lewandowski blew Europe away with 55 goals in 47 games this season, leading Bayern to their second historic treble.

Haaland quickly turned heads all around the world himself, racking up 44 goals and 10 assists in 40 games, including 16 goals in 18 games after moving to Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January.

It’s easy to forget that Salzburg only brought Haaland in from Molde FK following his record nine-goal haul at the U-20 World Cup last summer with Norway.
