Romain Faivre Discusses Why It Would Be Hard to Turn Down Interest From PSG
PSG Talk
Stade Brestois 29 midfielder Romain Faivre is one of the more talented young midfielders in Ligue 1. Over the summer, clubs like AC Milan expressed interest in the 23-year-old, but a move never occurred.
Also, there were links between Paris Saint-Germain and Faivre last year, but nothing transpired from these reports. In an interview with Canal Plus (via RMC Sport), the midfielder spoke about the possibility of playing in the French capital.
Faivre grew up in the suburbs of Paris, so the France international stated that should the capital club ever make him an offer, it would be hard to say no.
“Playing for PSG? There have been contacts with my agents, he reveals. is a dream, it’s my city, there’s my family and my friends there,” Faivre said.
Plenty of PSG supporters would like to see Les Parisiens take advantage of the talent in Ligue 1 and acquire them rather than letting the players head abroad, especially those who grew up in Paris.
Although the French giants would like to acquire some of the young French talents, Ligue 1 clubs don’t favor PSG and jack up the price on a young player they show interest in; for example, they were reportedly in on Eduardo Camavinga this past summer.
Despite only having one year on his deal, Stade Rennais was asking a hefty price from PSG, wanting €100-million. In the end, they sold him to Real Madrid for up to €40-million.
