There are too many question marks surrounding Lazio to make any definitive evaluations for the final two months of the season; the departure of Maurizio Sarri and arrival of Igor Tudor has totally shaken up the environment in the capital, opening the door for changes.
Lazio did well in their first match under Tudor, edging out a 1-0 win over Juventus after a late winner from Adam Marusic, but the team then disappointed in their Coppa Italia rematch with the Old Lady three days later, falling in a 2-0 loss in the first leg of the semi-finals.
Tudor has made it clear that he’ll use the remaining months of the season to properly evaluate his squad ahead of the summer, wanting to decide which players to keep in his team and which to try and replace in the transfer market.
Roma have been one of the most in-form teams in Serie A since the appointment of De Rossi back in January; they’ve won seven of their 10 league matches under the former midfielder, only dropping points in a loss to league leaders Inter and two tight draws.
Whilst they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw with Lecce last weekend, the Giallorossi are on the hunt for a top four finish and will be desperate to carry their momentum forward into the business end of the season.
