Roma want to make Paulo Dybala once again the team’s cornerstone for next season.

The Argentine forward is expected to stay in the Italian capital after recent rumors emerged linking with a potential exit from the club in the summer.

Roma, however, intend to keep their superstar player and continue relying on him as a vital piece to Daniele De Rossi’s team.

With the season now over, Roma are planning their transfer strategy for the summer which will largely depend on the type of role Dybala will be willing to cover in the upcoming season.

As revealed in today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, De Rossi is considering making Dybala a false nine in his starting XI and having him alternate with a natural striker.

This would allow Roma to only invest in one additional striker and focus on prioritizing investments on the wings with the likes of Chiesa and Nicolas Gonzalez the latest to be linked with a move to the capital.

Additionally, Tammy Abraham could end up staying for a lack of offers – in that case De Rossi would try and revitalize the English striker who two years ago ended the season with 27 goals.
