Roma to face Cremonese in Coppa Italia’s round of 16

Roma are set to face a familiar opponent in this year’s edition of the Coppa Italia.

On Tuesday evening, Cremonese and Citadella battled it out in Cremona over the advancement to the competition’s round of 16.

Stroppa’s men ended up beating Citadella 2-1 in extra-time which means Cremonese will once again face Roma in an elimination game that will take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Last year, Cremonese faced Roma in the quarter finals of the domestic cup competition, eliminating the Giallorossi with a 1-2 scoreline.
