And apparently there is a new candidate for the job.Lorenzo Vitali could soon receive the formal investiture as the new CEO of Roma after working as a lawyer for the club. After being made official as administrative manager last January, Vitali has in fact exercised the role of CEO since September, following the farewell of Lina Souloukou, which took place shortly after the dismissal of De Rossi and his staff.

As Corriere dello Sport writes, Vitali has progressively assumed an operational role in the management of the club, representing Friedkins in the most important institutional forums, as demonstrated by his frequent presence at official matches in the Serie A League. The executives of other clubs now recognise him as the main contact person of Roma. The images that immortalise the signing of the players’ contracts often also portray Vitali, confirming his centrality in corporate affairs. The same goes for the meetings relating to the new Roma stadium, a project that is about to enter a decisive phase. Vitali regularly participates in institutional meetings alongside Dr. Bernabè.
