With the Giallorossi set to return to action in the Serie A on Monday evening against a tricky Lecce side, it still remains far from certain that Roma star trequartista Paulo Dybala will take part in the vital match due to injury concerns.

Roma-based journal Il Messaagero, via ForzaRoma.Info, reports that although the Argentine having made a great improvement whilst taking part in individual recovery sessions throughout the international break, the club is not willing to rush his return.

Despite Dybala’s immense desire to resume playing on the pitch as they do not want to risk losing the 30-year-old for an extended period of time throughout the final stages of the 2023/24 campaign.

Although playing on the Monday provides Roma with better odds of having their most influential player take part in the significant league fixture, coach De Rossi will make his decision regarding Dybala over the course of the next two days through consultations with the club doctors who are continuously monitoring his performance in training.
