Roma are aiming to bring in a second-choice goalkeeper in this transfer window.
Among the many players that Roma will have to replace next season is Rui Patricio.
To replace him, the Giallorossi have identified Arnaud Bodart, the 26-year-old goalkeeper from Standard Liège.
According to Voetbal Belge, the Belgian club is going through a period of economic difficulties, which is why the sale of the goalkeeper would represent a breath of fresh air for Standard’s balance sheet.
Roma, aware of the situation, would have offered 2 million euros plus two young players to convince the Belgian club to let the goalkeeper leave.
The Giallorossi’s strategy is therefore clear: seize the opportunity and obtain an advantageous price from Standard Liège.
The next few days will be decisive for the outcome of the negotiation.
