Serie A side Roma have sacked Daniele de Rossi already and they will sign Ivan Juric as his replacement, but some details have emerged about the axe today.

While De Rossi seems happy enough in a video that has emerged after the sacking, Corriere dello Sport have reported about some details regarding the decision.

They say that De Rossi was, with his assistants, ready to take over the training session earlier today and that is when he was called by the Friedkins to their office. He was then communicated the decision to depart and it is reported that even the club’s players were shocked, having learned about the decision from the club on social media. Some got to know about the decision when they were in their cars and driving to the training centre.

They had no indication about the decision beforehand and it caught them off-guard as well. It is suggested that the Friedkins had sacked Jose Mourinho in a similar way last season.
