The tug of war between Roma and Basel over Calafiori continues.
This summer, the player was sold by Bologna to Arsenal for 50 million euros, with the Felsinei owing 50% of the capital gain to the Swiss, who therefore collected 23.5 million from the transfer.
However, it was agreed between Basel and Roma that the Giallorossi – in addition to the 1 million euros earned in 2022 – would also collect 40% of the future resale.
The Friedkins therefore demand 40% of those 23.5 million, in addition to those already received for the transfer to Bologna (40% of 4 million) with the Swiss who immediately refused to pay, despite the certified email from Roma’s lawyers.
Almost five months after the transfer to Arsenal, there is still no sign of the payment and the legal dispute continues.
In Trigoria they are convinced, given the way the contract is worded, that the percentage of each revenue relating to Calafiori must be paid and that therefore sooner or later the approximately 9.4 million owed will be collected.
