The Giallorossi have made a huge leap forward in securing their primary candidate for the full-back position as Flamengo’s Wesley is on the verge of securing a move to Roma.
TMW reports that the Brazilian giants have accepted the capital club’s bid of €25m plus €5m in bonuses for the 21-year-old rising star.
Roma have reached a personal agreement with the South American player on a five-year deal worth €2m per-season.
Wesley has been a player that Roma have been monitoring very closely as the Brazilian international was former Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s first choice to fill the void within the full-back position.
However, despite an agreement having been reached amongst both clubs, Roma are forced to wait as Flamengo work towards finding a substitute prior to letting Wesley depart.
The feeling remains positive and it is expected that the transfer of Wesley to the Giallorossi will materialize within the next 48 hours.
