Roma are pursuing Las Palmas defender Mika Marmol in the aftermath of Mario Hermoso’s exit from the club.
Marmol is in fact the number one name on Roma’s shortlist to replace Hermoso who is set to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan until the end of the season.
Marmol has a release clause set at 10 million euros, but Roma are aiming to close for a lower figure, around 6 million.
Barcelona, the defender’s former club, holds 50% of the future resale, a factor that could complicate the negotiation.
In the coming days, Leggo writes, a new round of talks is expected to unfold between the parties to find a definitive agreement.
Alternatively, Roma are also keeping an eye on Nicolò Bertola, a 21-year-old from Spezia, who Juventus is also interested in.
