Roma cut wage bill by €37 million, record positive impact on balance sheet | OneFootball

Roma’s busy transfer window saw the club cut on the team’s costs while improving the overall balance of the squad in terms of costs.

Following the addition of eleven signings (twelve if we add Angelino whose deal was made permanent in June), Roma spent a total of 109 million euros in transfers this past summer.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma boss Daniele De Rossi is satisfied with the club’s effort to meet his needs.

This year the club’s policy has changed: fewer loans, rejuvenation of the squad and cuts to the wage bill.

The Souloukou-Ghisolfi duo managed to cut down the wage bill by 37 million euros net over the course of the summer.

The outgoing transfers recorded a positive impact of around 91.6 million euros on the club’s balance sheet for the 24/25 term.

Roma’s objective remains the same: to qualify to next year’s Champions League. It will be up to De Rossi and his men to achieve this goal.
