With the likely exit of Romelu Lukaku from the capital club, Roma are aiming for a younger replacement in Jonathan David.
As reported by calciomercato.com, the Canadian attacker seems to be Roma’s first-choice to strengthen their offensive line in case the club were to qualify for Champions League football.

The news portal suggests that Roma are convinced of David’s fit in their long-term project as the Giallorossi want to rely on younger talent going forward.
However, competition for David is fierce – both Milan and Napoli have made inquiries – and Lille’s asking price of €50 million (his contract expires in 2025) would only be attainable with Champions League money.
David totaled 52 goals in the last two seasons under Paulo Fonseca, making him one of the most prolific young goal-scorers in Europe.
