Roma continue to improve their league record in an attempt to climb the Serie A table and secure position among the top four.
After a slow start in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo, the Giallorossi were able to overcome Alessio Dionisi’s men thanks to a penalty scored by Dybala and Rasmus Kristensen’s deflected goal at the 82nd minute.
According to Corriere della Sera, Roma are currently cruising on a points average that would technically allow them to qualify to next year’s Champions League.
The newspaper states that Roma have collected 19 points in their last 8 Serie A games (a total of 6 victories); many of these points, like yesterday, came in the final minutes.
Roma is first in the top 5 European leagues for goals scored after the 80th minute: 11, one more than Bayern Munich and Barcelona (10). The goals scored in the final quarter of an hour plus added time (from the 75th minute onwards) are 13 and have brought the Giallorossi 11 points: in addition to the 3 yesterday, 1 against Salernitana, 2 against Monza and Udinese, 3 against Lecce.
