Roma coach Jose Mourinho says he views the job as a career challenge.

Mourinho is preparing Roma for today's derby against Lazio.

He said, “It's a different challenge, but a challenge, no doubt. When we talked for the first time, I had no doubts from the first minute. We know where we are, where we want to be and how we want to get there.

“I worked at clubs before where there were doubts. Here there are no doubts. It is not the most difficult squad to work with, but it is my most difficult challenge."

Mourinho said he was won over by the reaction of the fans after their defeat to Hellas Verona.

“That made me realise there is a real empathy here. After a victory, that feeling can be artificial and it goes once there is a negative result, but instead we lost and didn't play well, but felt the fans were behind us."
