Roma manager Jose Mourinho has talked about about Borja Mayoral’s exclusion from the starting eleven and he’s stated that it is because FIFA doesn’t allow them to play with 12 players.

The Giallorossi have used Tammy Abraham as a striker regularly and he has impressed upfront, leading to Mayoral not being involved under Mourinho too often.

Ahead of the game against Verona, Mourinho was asked about Mayoral and he stated: “FIFA does not allow you to play in 12. Seriously, he lacks nothing, he is a good player and a good boy, he works very hard. He has played little and yet works well, he is a fantastic professional and he will be important for us.

“I liked him when I arrived months ago and I love him today. Borja in front of the goal is very cold and scores. I understand that he wants more and his time will come.”
