Roma boss Jose Mourinho is set to stick with Rui Patricio and trust the goalkeeper despite recent poor form.
The Portuguese goalkeeper has come in the firing line amidst the Giallorossi’s bad recent form and his errors have cost Mourinho’s side several goals during this recent bad phase. While he isn’t the only one who has been poor, the ex-Wolves man has become a source of annoyance for Roma fans.
Il Messaggero state that Mourinho is set to stick with Patricio as Roma believe that second choice goalkeeper Mile Svilar isn’t upto the task of playing first-team football yet.
Roma were offered the chance to sign Hugo Lloris and Kasper Schmeichel not long ago and those were options that Mourinho liked, as he has especially worked with the Frenchman at Tottenham. But Roma decided to not go ahead with moves for them due to financial reasons.
Patricio’s form is sure to concern Roma, who are winless in their first three games of the season.
