Roma continue their search for a striker and the latest target mentioned in Spain is Villarreal’s Norway international Alexander Sorloth.
The Giallorossi need new forwards, as Andrea Belotti was sold to Como, while Romelu Lukaku and Sardar Azmoun returned to their clubs after loan periods.
They had set their sights on quite a few alternatives, but Wolverhampton Wanderers secured Jorgen Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo.
According to Relevo, Roma have now also approached Villarreal to ask after 28-year-old Norwegian Sorloth.
The club is looking to get circa €38m for the centre-forward and so far the offer is a long way off that, but there is room for negotiation.
The Spanish site also notes that he would be more open to Roma than a Premier League club, because he has grown so fond of the weather in Valencia.
He had a very impressive campaign with 26 goals in 41 competitive games for Villarreal, including 23 in 34 LaLiga matches.
Sorloth was a challenger for the top scorer title, but a thigh injury in November 2023 saw him lose ground.
