Speculations were made regarding Roma’s ability to keep the Argentine superstar despite not qualifying for Champions League football for the fifth consecutive year.

With only one more year left on his contract and the release clause active until the end of July, rumors of a potential farewell in the summer seemed to be picking up steam in the Italian capital.

However, Roma seem convinced of their intention to continue together with Paulo Dybala.

In fact, Sky Sport reports that Roma, despite missing out on Champions League, will not hesitate to pay Dybala the required 8 million euros which he is set to earn next season.

The Friedkins have made themselves clear: they want to keep the club’s top players, including Dybala.

The player met with the club owners and Daniele De Rossi and reiterated his desire to continue playing for the club.

Roma and Dybala will agree to continue together at least until 2025 – it will be up to the player to decide whether to renew his deal or leave in free agency.
