Club América striker Roger Martínez believes that the team will turn their fortunes around despite only picking up four points so far this season.
Like his side, the Colombian forward has had a mixed season so far and insists he understands the fans’ frustrations.
“Some things are expressed with phrases, boos, shouts and applause, they are synonymous,” he said speaking after Las Águilas’ defeat to Pachuca.
“Sport is always about overcoming adversity, never giving up and fighting until the end. I’m not going to give up.
“We can’t complain. We have to stand up and work hard, this will change.”
Martínez was sent off in the opening fixture against Puebla but has since bagged a goal and an assist in the 3-2 defeat to San Luis.
