Everton will lock horns with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their winning run in the Premier League. The Toffees are flying high at the moment, having emerged victorious in three consecutive matches across all competitions. The Merseyside outfit will go into this clash full of confidence, but they can expect a tough outing versus a Palace side that beat Manchester United by a 3-1 scoreline at Old Trafford last weekend.

Carlo Ancelotti will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and might bring James Rodriguez back to his starting XI for this contest away at South London.

Defence

Jordan Pickford will continue in goal for the Toffees despite shipping in two poor goals against Fleetwood Town in midweek. Michael Keane will once again play alongside Yerry Mina at the centre of the Everton backline as they try to keep Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, Jordan Ayew and Andros Townsend in check during the 90 minutes.

Seamus Coleman will return to the first-team to operate as the right-back after Ancelotti decided to rest him in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. Lucas Digne will look to impress on the other side as the left-back. Coleman’s work-ethic and Digne’s creativity will be quite useful as the Toffees attempt to navigate their way to another league win on the road.

Midfield

Ancelotti might opt for a midfield three of Andre Gomes, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure as they look to dominate the battle at the centre of the park and engineer some meaningful openings in the decisive third of the pitch. The Toffees would need Gomes’ passing range and Doucoure’s power when trying to break the Eagles defence down on the counter.

Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies will have to settle for a place on the bench but could come on to influence the game in the second half if needed.

Attack

Richarlison scored a brace in midweek which will keep him in high spirits heading into this match at the English capital. The Brazilian will operate as a wide player on the left flank while James Rodriguez looks to impress on the right-wing. The Colombian playmaker has been a joy to watch for Everton thus far, so Ancelotti will hope that he can maintain his high standards on the field in the coming weeks.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the line for the Merseyside outfit down the middle. The English centre-forward bagged a hattrick in his last league start, so he will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net when he laces up to face the Eagles defence this weekend.
