According to Sky Germany, Schalke attacker Rodrigo Zalazar is likely to leave the club this summer after their relegation to the 2.Bundesliga.

Zalazar has made it clear to Schalke that he is open to leaving the club this summer. The 23-year-old has received enquires from Germany, Italy, Spain and South America, Zalazar is likely to cost around €3m. No decision on Zalazar’s future has been made yet. The attacker is not the only Schalke player likely to leave in the summer with Marius Bülter also close to leaving the Königsblau.

The Uruguayan joined Schalke permanently last season for €1.5m from Eintracht Frankfurt after spending Schalke’s previous season in the 2.Bundesliga with them on loan.

Zalazar played 23 times for Schalke as they finished 17th in the Bundesliga, Zalazar spent the end of the first half of the season before the World Cup out with a metatarsal fracture, if he was fit his influence may have helped Schalke win one or two more games. The 23-year-old scored twice and assisted six times.
