Manchester City entertained Burnley at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola‘s men made a good start to the contest and scored the opening goal in the 16th minute when Julian Alvarez got his name on the scoresheet. The Argentine forward doubled his team’s advantage just six minutes later as Man City went into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead.

Rodri killed the game off in the 46th minute when he found the back of the net. Burnley grabbed a late consolation thanks to Ameen Al-Dakhil’s effort in injury-time. The contest ended with Man City earning an impressive 3-1 victory at the Etihad.
